Mariasa Cleopatra!

Cleo, for short…and she stole my heart from the moment we arrived. Cleo was not expected to live long after birth. For many hardship reasons, her parents did not give the state control over Cleo’s medical decisions even though they gave up caring for her early on. Cleo did not receive the necessary shunt until May 2011, at 2 1/2 years old. She is now 3yrs and these pictures are recent.

Trying to debrief

Posted By on October 17, 2011

Hello All -

I will admit I’ve put off writing for a bit because I’m not sure I know the words to use. There are the obvious…

  • Fantastic
  • Heart-breaking
  • Loving
  • “Experience I’ll never forget”

…but it’s so much more. The children in Barlad, Romania lit up my life in a way I can’t yet describe. I’ll post some pictures, and as I start to process more, I’ll write more…

So, take this as – I’m HOME! and without your support I never would have been able to go. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for your love, support, good thoughts and virtually volunteering with me!

– Heather

Saturday May 23

4pm

Off Hwy 101, Exit Independence Lane, turn right, then left onto Geyserville Road

Stop at the wedding, get out of car, walk the red carpet…kiss, kiss, I do!

OUCH! It hurts to be a DIVA!

Okay, just had to publicly complain – OUCH! I did a dry run for hair and makeup today, complete with lip and brow waxing, and she kept going on my chin, neck..HOLY COW! who knew I was such a hairy goony-goo-hoo?

I don’t think I could be a daily Diva – give me a tattoo any day over waxing!
