So, I woke up today and my first thought was…OH MY GOD! Our wedding is THIS MONTH! You’d think I eat, breathe and sleep wedding – but it’s not the wedding part that gets me as excited as the “reason for my crazy crafting ideas to have a purpose”. I seriously don’t know what I’m going to do after May 23…I sort of feel sorry for Alan in that he may have to put up with me redecorating the house, yard, dogs, cats…
Anyway – on with the pics…
Here are the placecards/namecards for the wedding and rehearsal dinner and the menu for the wedding. Do you see a theme with all the stuff? you DO?!?? Whoa, then you are more creative than I because it’s an exercise in randomness and trying to pretend I had a central theme…
Oh well…onward…

Our wedding dinner menu sample

The girls place card thingies...

The boy place card thingies...Alan said I could only do a flower if I made it look "guy like"

And the thingie the other thingies hang on...AKA a chip clip?

Here you go – my Queens of the Court Bouquets…well, at least a little shot of them…

For the Queen of all things historical (made from old encyclopedia pages)

For the Queen of all things alternative - and my Lilipoh!

For the Queen of all things Chickness - and who lights up my life as my sister!

For the Queen of keeping all things on time and on track...

I love that word…SCHWAG! we don’t use it nearly enough so I am making a post…JUST so I can put that in. In some alternative wedding places and DIY (Do it yourself) sites, the pictures are referred to as “wedding porn” – just as addictive!
So, I’m not big on the surprise factor, in life, but especially for weddings. I mean, I don’t think YOU need OUR wedding to be a surprise. We’ve spent months planning something that will last less than 8 hours and most of you won’t remember what you saw anyway. That is NOT a cut on you, reader/wedding guest/family, but more the reality.
I’ve spent time crafting the centerpieces, room decor, making my veil, finding stuff on craigslist, booking “green” vendors, and on and on…because I like to. So, I also like to share my stuff. That explanation given…here are some photos of the upcoming “stuff” at the wedding. It’s all in temporary states, but maybe you’ll enjoy getting a peek at what is affectionately termed “wedding porn” – or in my case…SCHWAG!

yeah – so…some of you thought I’d be having a back yard BBQ for a wedding. And I AM! Sort of. Well, it’s not MY back yard and the BBQ turned into more of a roast pig. In fact, it’s nobody’s “back yard” but we’re still having BBQ sauces! YAY!
So, I’m in gold and Alan WILL be in a new suit. RIGHT? So, make your best call on “semi-formal”. The wedding begins outside, but moves indoors for the ceremony and reception. If it’s raining, we will be completely inside.
The thing you WANT is to be comfortable because we have a live band – R & B, New Orleans Jazz! We expect dancing of all kinds!
So, semi-formal is because I finally got “girlie” and wanted to give everyone a chance to dress up (or an excuse to BUY a new dress? *ahem*) But, feel free to put the emphasis on SEMI or FORMAL!
It IS Sonoma County, where jeans and a jacket maketh a black tie affair.

Hmmmph…sure would be nice to have some things CROSSED off my To Do list, not just 75% done. But, it’s sunny out and I’d rather watch the Dog wrestle with his Hedgehog.
HOWEVER, YAY to all of you who are using the online RSVP. I go look at our happy trees every time I get a new RSVP and think…yahooo! one more tree for the world. One more tree for my dog to mark as his, really.
It’s actually kind of exciting b/c this invite stuff is making this all real. Like its not just a bunch of coordination, planning and rentals – but actually our wedding. Who knew?
Now, back to not making the centerpieces.
